Senior Personal Care Services

Bathing, Grooming, and Hygiene

Beehive Senior Care understands the importance of looking and feeling good on a daily basis. Not only does bathing and good hygiene affect physical well being but also improves the mental well being which is crucial for aging seniors. Getting ready for each day stimulates the body and invigorates the soul of those receiving personal care services. Although hygiene is important it is often overlooked by aging adults because it can sometimes seem like a daunting task. We are here to help as much as is needed anywhere from being available just in case something is needed or we can fully assist in the process.

Transferring and Ambulation

Our caregivers are specifically trained on the correct methods and best practices of performing correct transfers. Often times with aging adults the majority of ailments and health problems are associated with improper transferring. Some issues that come from improper transfers can be respiratory issues, pressure points which can compromise the skin, muscles aches, and posture problems. As adults age mobility and movement is crucial to maintain muscle memory and coordination as well as mental stimulation. We promote mobility by offering assisting with the correct and safe way of transferring.

Incontinence Care

Beehive Senior Care is sensitive and aware of the importance of maintaining the self confidence and dignity of our clients while assisting them with performing daily activities. Incontinence care requires patience and gentle care, we belived even if the incontinence can't be cured, it can be controlled so that the person's quality of life can be improved.

Fall Prevention Care

Avoiding falls is crucial to maintaining good health and quality life. We provide oversight and care that drastically reduces the chances of experiencing falls. Beehive Senior Care understand the places and times where a majority of falls occur and have trained staff to avoid these areas to reduce falls. We will also take the time to do a home safety evaluation that can help identify fall risk areas. Some questions we might ask could include: Are hallways or areas clutter free? Do rugs and runners slip resistant? Are areas well lit? Do bathtubs have grab bars and other necessary equipment? Are cords safely out of sight?

"Falls are the leading cause of injury-related visits to the emergency room in the U.S. and the primary cause of accidental deaths (75%) in people over 65."
